Community Outreach
I am passionate about connecting with my community through education-based outreach, public lectures, collaborations with artists, and beyond. Most of this work has been completed in conjunction with NW Noggin, a non-profit based in Portland, OR.

Education-based outreach
With NW Noggin, I've brought interactive, hands-on, art-based neuroscience activities to local K-12 classrooms, a homeless youth center, and a youth correctional facility. This work has primarily focused on working with BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and low SES youth.
Public Lectures and art collaborations
I've done several collaborative projects with Sienna Morris, a Portland-based artist who uses scientific data and formulas as the basis of her art. We publicly presented two of our projects. One on the mental health benefits of self-care and the other on the mental health benefits of nature.

In addition to my collaborations with Sienna, I've worked with Comedian Shane Mauss as a guest on his touring show "Stand-up Science" where I presented work on mind-wandering in those with ADHD.

I've also worked with the band Moon Hooch and collected EEG data from their audience participants during a live show.
